Posted by Alexandra Samuel

This week, MoveOn is sponsoring a nation-wide series of house parties to help envision the next generation of this online community's political action. MoveOn's event announcement says:

Together, we'll talk about the big-picture goals for our country that we would most like to see MoveOn fight for. Each party will choose their favorites, and the entire MoveOn membership will get to discuss them and then vote online.

These parties should a be a lot of fun - the kind of blue-sky discussion you can only have when a big change is coming. Well all get to meet new folks, and have a constructive conversation about the issues that matter most to us.

When we're done, we'll have picked the official top 3 big positive ideas for MoveOn to champion in 2006 and beyond.
